During her time as a member of the Blackburn House from the summer 2012 to summer 2013, Lauren Wilkie was a senior at Appalachian State University studying Secondary English Education and was student teaching in Ashe County. She is a talented artist and writer, and her artwork is displayed around the house. She is really passionate about sustainability and taking care of the earth, people, and animals, and loves to run, hike, and craft.
